Underwater footage filmed during the spawn while bed fishing for largemouth bass. Commentary and observations of basic spawning behavior are also discussed.

All the fish in this video are males. This is earlier in the spawning cycle when males are aggressively defending nests just prior to selecting a female. They are highly protective during this period and can be quite easy to catch in most cases.

I’m using a Lake Fork Trophy Lures Ring Fry in chartreuse pepper green rigged weightless. All the nests were in less than 3 feet of water. Water clarity slightly stained.
