The Alabama Leprechaun Strikes Again!!!

What’s the most important quality you look for in a fishing lure?

Obviously, you want a lure that catches fish. I think we can all agree that is #1 thing we want out of our lures.

It doesn’t matter how cheap, how good the action is, or how realistic-looking a lure is… if it doesn’t catch fish, there’s no point!

But also high up on my list is durability.

Even though torn up baits equates to lots of strikes, I still hate going through several packs of lures every time I go out on the water because they get torn up.

And I hate having to rig up a new soft plastic after every fish I catch… it wastes time and money.

So I was really eager to see how the Alabama Leprechaun jerk shad would hold up on redfish and speckled trout.

Not only did this new jerk shad destroy the redfish, but it also held up crazy well!

I rigged them up on a 1/8 oz 3/0 Owner TwistLock Hook and was casting to points and shorelines in about one to two feet of water.
