Live bait vs. lures… obviously live bait catches more fish, right?

It’s smelly, it doesn’t get any more natural than the real thing, and you know that’s what fish are eating.

But this on-the-water case study produced some surprising results!

We were filming a live podcast with the goal of catching as many fish as possible in a short amount of time (even in bad conditions), when we learned a valuable lesson:

Always keep some lures ready for action even when you’re planning to fish live or cut bait!

As you’ll see in this video, Luke spent a lot of time getting the live bait ready to fish (chumming it up, netting it, and rigging it).

In the meantime, I was killing it with the Slam Shady!

So watch this video for some fun fish-catching action and learn why you should always have some artificial lures aboard.

(Plus learn how to avoid catching catfish and lizardfish!)

Have any questions about catching loads of trout with artificial lures?
