Ever had to unhook a catfish with your hands? If you go fishing enough, you’ll eventually catch catfish (or tons of catfish). And no only thing worse than catfish slime are the catfish barbs (it really hurts to get spined by a catfish).

Many fishermen falsely believe that you must use pliers or a line trick to de-hook a catfish, but in reality, the easiest (and safest) way to hold and unhook a catfish is with your hands.
