How do you know when to go with a circle hook or a j hook when using live or cut bait?
That’s a great question since choosing the wrong type could cause you to lose fish, gut hook fish, or even get fined!
In this video, I’m going to show you the one thing that will determine which style of hook I choose, and it has to do with the type of fishing you’re doing.
Now before we dive in, I want to note that this video was just covering how to make that decision based on the type of fishing you’re doing.
There are some regions that don’t allow j hooks with live bait, so be sure to look up the laws BEFORE you get out on the water and consider this decision.
