In this video, Luke Simonds tests which fluorocarbon line is the best brand for stronger fishing knots, testing a number of different knots on each line. This is a follow up test to our abrasion test of the same lines.

Luke did this by tying both lines in the same strands using a couple different knots, applying pressure to the strands and seeing which knot broke down first.

The knots Luke used in his tests included:
1. The Non-Slip Loop
2. Double Uni Knot
3. 6-Turn Uni Knot
4. FG Knot

Luke used two different brands of fluorocarbon line for his tests: Berkley Vanish and Seaguar Blue Label.

Berkley Vanish Line Specs
Strength: 20 lb
Diameter: 0.40mm
Yards: 250
Cost: $15.49
Cost per Yard: $0.06 (very inexpensive for fluorocarbon line)

Seaguar Blue Label Line Specs
Strength: 20 lb
Diameter: 0.405mm
Yards: 25
Cost: $15.99
Cost per Yard: $0.64 (upper-median for fluorocarbon leader line)
