Have you used ProCure fish scent before? Truth be told, I haven’t used it that much in the past. However, numerous angler swear by it, so I finally decided to try out some of their fish scent on my soft plastics and do a fun little experiment.
Important Note: I fully realize that this is NOT enough data to claim to Pro-Cure works or doesn’t work. It was simply a quick test. Since I’m kind of a Pro-Cure newbie, I’d love to hear your thoughts on what kind of results you’ve had with it (or any other fish scent).
Here’s what I did in this Pro-Cure Fishing Challenge:
I took out two identical rods, reels, line, leader, and lure and gave three casts without ProCure on the lure, and then 3 casts with ProCure on the lure. I continued to switch up every 3 casts to keep it as even as possible.
The goal was to see which lure would catch the most fish.
Now although this certainly isn’t a “scientific study” that I would bet money on, it was interesting to see that my lure without the Pro-Cure scent actually caught just as many fish (including the largest trout).
