Ben runs a very successful on the water guide service out of Southern Calfornia fishing for the popular saltwater fishing targets that swim up and down the California coastline. Yellowtail, Dorado, Pelagics and such are all on the target list but Ben is known to us at Big Bass Dreams for his prowess fishing for saltwater bass species like the Calico Bass, Sand Bass and Spotted Bay Bass. All indigenous to this portion of the eastern Pacific coast.
This is a special intro dialogue session with Ben on our first time out on his beautiful Ranger boat with Calico otherwise known as Kelp Bass being the primary target utilizing many familiar techniques and concepts we use in freshwater bass fishing across the country. Dive in for some insight into one of the most successful fishing figures in California and meet another passionate and humble hammer with a fishing rod we are glad to call a friend. We are headed to Santa Catalina Island for some Calico Bass Fishing.
