When bank fishing in fall for bass or crappie, it might help to try a drop shot or a jerkbait. I caught today’s first bass on an Ozark Trail Jerkbait from Walmart. After that bite slowed down a bit, I switched to a drop shot with a Lake Fork Lures Baby Shad. Fishing with that for a while I managed to catch 3 more largemouth bass! Near the end of the trip, I managed to catch a shad on my shad imitating rig and decided to use it as bait. It was then that I caught a 13 inch crappie! Fall fishing can be tricky from the bank, but bass and crappie can still be caught on drop shots and jerkbaits.
