Drew Gregory (www.drewgregory.com) hired us to shoot with our remote operated multi-rotor copter over Lake Petit. Lake Petit is part of Big Canoe in the North Georgia mountains. The subject matter was kayak fishing (www.JacksonKayak.com). Our copter footage will be used for a variety of projects and combined with footage from land and underwater.
This video contains just a few of the highlights from our day of shooting at the lake with our flying camera. Our multi-rotor is a Cinestar 8 frame with a Hoverfly Pro flight controller, Hoverfly Gimbal board, and Cinestar 3 axis gimbal (all assembled by Yonder Blue). The camera is a hacked GH2. The pilot is Benjamin Rowland and the camera operator is Will Wheeler.
We flew 50 flights that day from the bow of a pontoon boat (seen at the end of the video). The boat was captained by Brooks Beatty and Stewart Venable. Food was provided by Mrs. Gregory.
