Catching big bass on cheap fishing lures is just as fun as the name brand. This episode is a cheap lure vs. name brand lure comparison. The first lure I use is the cheap Blaze topwater popper for $1.50. I manage to catch a big bass just as the sun is going down. I also get a few outgoing panfish to hit the popper too. The next day I try the Strike King popper that retails for $7.99. While I didn’t get any panfish to go for it, I did end up catching another big bass. I think both of these poppers performed very well. Don’t forget the pliers like I did or you will be running to the car. If I am catching big bass on poppers, even cheap ones, you can too.
