In this episode of BlacktipH, I travel to Tropic Star Lodge in Panama to go fishing in the annual Roosterfish Fishing Tournament. Roosterfish are a unique and different species of fish, belonging to their own scientific family, not related to any other species! Within the first 30 minutes of fishing, we caught our four Roosterfish. All of a sudden, my Penn International 30w started screaming! I reeled in the fish and caught my first-ever bluefin trevally, one of the most beautiful fish in the ocean! After releasing the bluefin, my silver Penn Torque started screaming, and another Roosterfish jumped behind the boat. The bite was on fire! We caught a total of 12 Roosterfish along with African Pompano, Jack Crevalles, and I hooked a huge tarpon that managed to get off the line.
