This was our first ever daytime swordfish trip. We started out the day high speed trolling for wahoo. We then headed offshore to 1600+ft of water to drop deep baits for swordfish. We got bites every time we dropped the bait. Swordfish are not easy to hook and their soft mouths make it even more difficult to keep them hooked. Finally, we got a solid hookup. We fought the swordfish for over 30 minutes. The fish was harvested and consumed by the crew.
