Some Florida panfish are called bluegill( bream) and others shellcracker. In this video I catch a mixture of both along with several largemouth bass while fishing with ultralight gear. All of the fish were caught while fishing with a Rooster Tail lure.

I started out fishing with a white spinner having a silver blade and a white skirt. After not having any strikes over a span of about fifteen minutes I decided to switch to the Rooster Tail in line spinner that I was catching them on the day before. Once I made the switch I started catching fish. The color of the lure that was the most attractive to the pan fish was green, yellow and white, having a gold spinner.

I caught more shellcracker during this fishing trip than the day before. I’m not really sure why other than I was fishing a different part of the lake when I caught a couple of them. In any case catching these pan fish was a load of fun. So much so that I actually went back again today and will be uploading a video of me catching a lot of bass on the ultralight gear.
