I was lucky enough to be invited to fish the Madfin Shark Series again this year and even luckier to fish it with my wife Heidi. As part of the event, handlining sharks gets you bonus points and I made it point to get one every day of competition. Two mandatory pieces of equipment when handlining? AFTCO gloves and an AFTCO tailer to safely remove the hook and let the shark swim free and unharmed.
