Losing a fish (or your favorite lure) due to knot failure is like losing your favorite fishing hat…

It’s the worst!

And some of the feedback we have heard from fellow anglers trying the FG knot for their first few times is that the braid is slipping, causing the entire knot to unravel.

The great news is that this “FG Knot Error” can be fixed by just simply making sure that you don’t skip this one step (that I show in the video).

For the record, I did go over this critical step in my original FG Knot tutorial (that has over 430,000 views as of this video going live), but with all of the comments I have heard about issues with the FG knot occasionally coming undone (which is virtually impossible if you tie the knot correctly), I realized that I needed to put this “FG Knot Mistake” video to make sure no one else loses another fish or lure to this small but costly mistake.
