This braid vs mono line abrasion strength test was done so that we could see which line can hold up to rubbing against a rough surface best.

For this test, we analyzed the abrasion strengths of the braid compared to the mono for the following two tests:

1. Side-to-side motion resembling head shakes from a fighting fish

2. Drag screeming motion where a fish is pulling line against a rough surface like a dock piling

Sandpaper was the surface for this test because it is a similar contour to the mouths of many fish.

And it has a consistent texture so the test results can be accurate.
