If you are using soft plastic lures (like Berkley Gulp baits, DOA lures, etc.), you need to watch this video on how to properly set the hook to land more fish.
I have seen too many of my friends and other anglers setting the hook incorrectly, thus costing them fish.
Part of the issue is we see pro anglers on TV (from the bass anglers to the offshore guys) that set the hook like they are trying to hook a whale. And copying a bass angler setting a hook can cost you a ton of fish if you do the same thing as an inshore angler.
You simply don’t need to set the hook that hard!
