We’ve all been told that braid casts further than mono but have you ever tested it?
Which one do you think wins?

We’ve always been really curious about braided line vs monofilament line, and there hasn’t been any real distance tests that we’ve seen.
So we decided to do our own braid vs mono casting contest.

For this casting contest, we kept the following the same:
1) exact same rod
2) exact same spinning reel
3) same lure (weight)
4) same pound test in the lines (10lb test)
The difference was the line diameter (which is one of the main reasons most fishermen believe that braid outcasts monofilament).
