🛑 Stop and Fish Slicks!!
If you see a slick on the water, it’s a good place to stop and fish. They’re a direct visual indicator of activity feeding predator fish.
These slicks are caused by oils being released in the water by baitfish. This particular slick was caused by a school of hacks in this area.
– Approach with stealth
– Look for groups of slicks in the area
– Cast around the edges
– Beware of non-target species… slicks can also be produced by species like Gafftopsail catfish
