Have you swapped out the treble hooks on your topwater lures?

If you have, that’s awesome! It’s much better for the fish and you’re less likely to snag yourself or other items on your boat.

However, sometimes people catch fewer fish when they make this switch.

In some cases, it can be a good thing (many people catch fewer smaller fish, but more big fish), but in other cases, they’re just catching fewer fish overall!

There are several things that can lead to this happening and I’ll cover six of them in this video.

They range from using the wrong hooks, to putting them on incorrectly, to damaging them when getting snagged on structure.
