Anglers who win and Angler of the Year title or Bassmaster Classic Championship earn one legendary exemption. This allows that anglers an opportunity to use it, if they have a bad year or are being cut from the Bassmaster Elite Series field, to redeem it and continue to tournament fish. Recently Luke Clausen attempted to use his token and fish the Elite Series and found out the rule had changed for 2026. But why? What does this mean for others who have an exemption?
