In this video I head out to the Chesapeake Bay for some Largemouth Bass fishing. The Chesapeake Bay and the Susquehanna Flats offer some really good fishing but it is such a large area that can take some time to learn. These grass tips in this video will also work in non tidal waters and these tips work the same if you are in tidal or non tidal waters.

The summer is in fill swing and the post spawn bite is starting to head up as well! I break down some of the different baits I like to use when fishing the grass for largemouth bass. It started out with a low tide and a lot of exposed grass. That meant it was perfect top water conditions for me. I ended up catching a few of my fish on frogs and popping baits like Pop R’s. I was also able to sight fish for a few cruisers with a senko.

The key to fishing grass is finding the sweet spots that are holding fish. This could be a depth change, different type of bottom or a mixture of different types of grass.

It took some time today to get to a solid limit, but it always can’t be easy!
