The Rapala Jointed Minnow can be fished in a variety of different ways making it a highly versatile lure. Classified as an “old school bait”, watch Rapala’s Mark Fisher demonstrate how to fish jointed minnows  Constructed with the same balsa wood materials and similar design of the Rapala Original Floater, the Rapala Jointed can be fished as a surface lure or a subsurface lure.  Control the depth with the speed of your retrieve and the angle of your rod tip. Fish it as a wake bait with your rod tip held high and a slow retrieve.  To fish it deeper, point your rod tip at the water and crank it fast to reach maximum swimming depth.  Jointed Minnows may also be trolled, twitched or ripped to trigger reaction strikes from predator gamefish.
