Heart breaking story of college kayak bass fishing angler, Payton Hughes’s body was recovered while practicing for a Toledo Bend bass fishing tournament. Friday, Payton’s body was found after an extensive search since Wednesday when he didn’t check in and his kayak was found. Payton is a 21 year old sophomore college student from Campbellsville University. Payton’s father served our country 20 years ago in Iraw and did not return home. The community lost a great angler, a mother lost her son and this tragic event is horrible. Thought and prayers to everyone who knew this amazing young man.
