The 1989 Bassmaster Classic came down to the wire as Hank Parker tried to reel in Jim Bitter, who had a substantial lead going into the final day. A tough day on the water and having a keeper jump back in the river caused Bitter to come up just ounces short and allowed Parker to win his second Classic.
